SUMMARY
Small Batch Learning is a learning management system tailored for the hospitality and retail industries.
I joined the team in late 2017 to elevate the platform experience, making it more intuitive, user-friendly, and sophisticated. I was also responsible for enhancing the brand identity and refreshing its visual language.
an intuitive learning management system for managers and staff
Small Batch Learning started with the goal of unlocking confidence and boosting sales by connecting frontline teams to the brands they sell on a single enablement platform, and they needed an intuitive interface that is frictionless for both managers and staff to adopt with ease.
a clean and direct
platform that encourages
learning and discovery
The redesigned platform is clear and user-friendly, featuring a new card-based content library and intuitive graphical statistics for user activity, removing the complexity and intimidation of the original design.
a refreshed coherent
visual identity
The platform was launched alongside a refreshed visual language that emphasized the core elements of the logo and highlighted the original brand’s turquoise accent. 3D visuals and familiar platform elements were incorporated to further elevate the brand.
a delightful redesign that
reduce clutter
The redesign streamlined the platform’s layout by introducing hierarchy across different content types—such as products, recipes, and courses—and visualizing key staff statistics. This improved structure enhanced the browsing experience, replacing the previously cluttered and distracting design
an elegant design
system
Working closely with Ben and the engineering team, we launched the platform’s first design system, introducing a new color palette, updated iconography, and consistent visual standards across the product.
